What is health coaching?

Health coaching is a transformational, hands on approach that is designed to help you eliminate unhealthy behaviors, overcome any obstacles and offer you knowledge, practical tools and support to help you make small, manageable nutrition and lifestyle changes, that ultimately have a tremendous impact in achieving a higher quality of health and life.

What is a health coach?

A health coach is a nutrition expert and a wellness authority, which helps bridge the gap between what people seek for their health and what they will achieve.

 

What makes this program different from any other diet?

A diet typically:

  • Is a dictated set of rules of dos and dont's
  • It is generic, because it applies to everyone
  • It is restrictive which makes it very hard to sustain
  • it offers extreme solutions yet with short lived results
  • It focuses on counting calories or points and is based on deprivation,
  • It can be based  on processed and artificial food, so it is not always healthy
  • it is not a well rounded approach
  • it does not address how your lifestyle, emotions, mood and stress can affect the way you eat.
  • It does not take into consideration your preferences, likes, lifestyle, ancestry, food allergies
  • It does not address the underlying causes of many symptoms or individual imbalances

During our program:

  • Coaching: we work with you, side by side, to help you work through obstacles and limiting beliefs that have been in your way. We help you go beyond the calories and portions and offer inspiration, motivation and accountability, so you continue to drive your efforts forward.
  • Optimized Resources: We offer you tools , books, recipes & resources that we find are important for your success.

Yes. During our "breakthrough" session we quickly review your individual needs, goals and obstacles, answer questions and concerns and help decide which program would fit your needs best.

What results should I expect?

The result that you should expect vary and depend on a number of factors such as the commitment and duration of your program as well as your individual needs. While there are some basic principles that we always teach at all our programs, we do personalize our services to meet your individual goals and help you overcome your individual obstacles. People that are excited and eager to turn their health and life around once and for all! People that are open in trying a new approach are willing to put some time and effort in making small practical changes in their diet and their lifestyle and who are ready to take accountability and responsibility for their health and their lives will benefit most.

 

How can I guarantee to get the most out of the program and reach my goals?

Obviously, much of your success depends on you. There is no quick fix. The best way to ensure results is to be honest about what is working and what is not, to follow the recommendations and invest some time and effort in working through the challenges that come with making changes.

 

Why is your "Full Body Makeover" program that long? Can I do one or two sessions and see if I like it?

Unfortunately we spend a whole lifetime eating the “wrong foods” and building “bad” habits and expecting in a couple of visits to change our life around, is not realistic! That is why our program is a gradual process. Time is required to try new things, integrate new habits, fully implement plans and realize goals. At each session, we'll review your actions of the previous week, successes and learning, work through challenges and obstacles, and partner on the action items you'll work on for the coming week. Relevant articles, information, tools, exercises and materials may be incorporated to support thinking and actions.

If you follow the recommendations and show up you will experience positive results. I invite you to be honest with me during our sessions and let me know if something isn’t working for you; I will work with you to re-evaluate our approach and customize the program to support your needs best. I am here to hold your hand, challenge you and encourage you, remind you that you can do this, and also help you feel accountable to encourage you while working through the challenges.

What is the Message you want to get out?

As a society we are losing touch with ourselves and with nature. We get caught up in our fast-paced demanding lifestyles and we forget what we eat, why we eat and forgetting what our purpose in life is.  We are most often than not, sick and tired, always desperately looking for the quick fix; it doesn’t have to be this way! Making an effort to eat healthy does not mean abandoning our lives. It is more a matter of finding our personal truth and understanding what we need to nourish our body and mind. By learning how to listen to our bodies, we can learn how to take care better care of ourselves every day, live with more awareness, more consciousness around our choices and defining what it means for us to be healthy and well.
